1. Overview

PartsDiagram Pro is a Shopify application that provides interactive parts diagram functionality to Shopify merchants. We operate as a web-by-proxy service — we serve diagram pages on behalf of your store while your store data remains in Shopify's infrastructure.

We process two categories of users: Merchants (Shopify store owners who install our app) and End Customers (shoppers who visit diagram pages).

2. Data We Collect

From Merchants

• •Shopify store URL and shop name
• •Contact email address associated with the Shopify account
• •Billing information (processed by Shopify — we do not store payment details)
• •App configuration: diagram settings, menu structure, hotspot data
• •Product IDs and variant IDs associated with hotspots (references only)

From End Customers (Shoppers)

• •Anonymous usage data: pages visited, diagrams viewed, hotspots clicked
• •Browser type, device type, and operating system (for analytics)
• •IP address (anonymized for geolocation only)

We do not collect names, email addresses, or personally identifiable information from end customers.

3. How We Use Data

• •Provide and operate the PartsDiagram Pro service
• •Render diagram pages correctly for your store's theme via our proxy
• •Generate analytics reports visible in your merchant dashboard
• •Send transactional emails (account alerts, billing notifications)
• •Improve the app's features, performance, and reliability

We do not sell merchant data or end-customer data to any third party, and do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Shopify Data Access

PartsDiagram Pro requests the following Shopify API scopes:

• read_products — display product names, prices, and stock in hotspots
• write_script_tags — inject the Polaris theme sync widget
• read_themes — detect your store's active theme for Polaris integration

We access only the minimum data required. We do not access order history, customer PII, or financial information.

5. Cookies & Tracking

• •Session cookie: Short-lived, expires when browser is closed.
• •Analytics cookie: Anonymous identifier for counting unique diagram views. Expires after 30 days.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site tracking on diagram pages.

6. Data Retention

We retain merchant account data for as long as your subscription is active. Upon uninstalling:

• •Your diagrams and settings are retained for 30 days (allowing reinstallation without data loss)
• •After 30 days, all merchant data is permanently deleted
• •Anonymized aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including: access, correction, deletion, portability, and objection. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@partsdiagrampro.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

• •TLS encryption for all data in transit
• •AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
• •Access controls limiting employee access to merchant data
• •Regular security audits and dependency scanning
