Install the App
PartsDiagram Pro is a Shopify app, so installation takes place entirely inside the Shopify admin. You don’t need to edit any theme code or touch a single file.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”Before you install, make sure you have:
- A Shopify store on any plan (including the free trial)
- Admin access to that store
- Products already set up in Shopify (you’ll link diagram hotspots to them later)
Step 1 — Install from the Shopify App Store
Section titled “Step 1 — Install from the Shopify App Store”- Go to the PartsDiagram Pro listing on the Shopify App Store
- Click Add app
- You’ll be redirected to your Shopify admin to review the permissions the app needs:
- Read products — to let you search and link parts to product listings
- Read inventory — to display real-time stock status on diagrams
- Write content — to create the diagram pages inside your store
- Click Install app to confirm
The app is now installed and a new PartsDiagram Pro item will appear in your Shopify admin sidebar under Apps.
Step 2 — Open the App
Section titled “Step 2 — Open the App”Click PartsDiagram Pro in your Apps sidebar. You’ll land on the dashboard, which shows:
- All diagrams you’ve created (empty on first install)
- A Create diagram button in the top-right corner
- Usage stats for your current plan
Step 3 — Check your plan
Section titled “Step 3 — Check your plan”All plans include a 7-day free trial. You can upgrade or change plans at any time from the Billing tab inside the app.

Section titled “That’s it!”Your store is ready. Head to the Quick Start guide to create your first diagram.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”I don’t see PartsDiagram Pro in my sidebar. Make sure you completed the installation all the way to the “Install app” confirmation screen. If the issue persists, try reinstalling from the App Store listing.
The app says my permissions are missing. Uninstall and reinstall the app — you may have skipped the permissions confirmation step. The app won’t function correctly without read access to products and inventory.
I’m on Shopify Plus — are there any special steps? No. PartsDiagram Pro works the same way on all Shopify plans, including Plus and Shopify Markets stores.
